1. General Service
Computer Repairs and Services are usually for working computers, that just like a car, need their yearly Tune up. We recommend a general service on your PC at least once per year to keep everything running as efficiently as possible.
A General Service covers a number of things, from general de-dusting and cleaning, to physical hardware checks on devices such as Hard Drives, Memory, Video Cards and more to ensure that all your hardware is operating correctly.
It also covers removal and scans for malware, trojans, adware, potentially unwanted programs (PUP), bloatware and software likely to cause issues. Just because you have an anti virus on your system, doesn’t mean that you’re exempt from getting these types of issues. In fact it is very rare that in running our checks we have a computer that returns a 0 issues result.
We also make sure the system is up to date with the latest window releases and updates to make sure your system is operating as securely as possible.
Lastly, we stress test the machine to make sure it can handle a heavy work load and under the most heavy of circumstances isn’t going to crash on you or cause you issues.
2. System Assessments
If you’re having a bigger issue however, we offer System Assessments for both Desktops and laptops to tell you exactly what the problem is. This usually covers those really nasty times, when your Uni assignment is due, and your computer suddenly wont turn on, or start up, or you’re getting those really nasty Blue Screens Of Death appearing preventing you from using the computer.
Well generally run through a heap of diagnostic tools to see if anything red flags, and investigate your issue. Once we have worked out what it is, we’ll call you before ANY repair work is done, so there is no surprises with the cost of fixing your system or your final bill.
